We are excited to announce that Mouths of Babes is seeking a part-time INTERN!
JOB DESCRIPTION: This is an opportunity to learn about the music business from the inside while playing an important role in the day-to-day operations and management of a growing independent band. The intern will be involved in on-the-ground operations, helping out with promotional, booking, and touring aspects of the business. The internship has the potential to grow in many different directions depending on your interests. We're looking for someone who doesn't mind doing menial tasks but who is also excited about challenges and really wants to learn. We have two decades combined music business experience to offer. We are also open to your ideas and creative input.
REQUIRED SKILLS: Computer literacy (Mac), people skills, post office skills and tolerance, genuine eagerness to learn about the music business. Detail-oriented, with excellent communication skills (written and spoken). Social media and/or graphic design skills are a plus. Excitement about Mouths of Babes and a desire to help us grow is also a plus. And a sense of humor never hurts.
COMPENSATION: At this point the internship is unpaid, but that may change as we work together and your responsibilities grow. All expenses will be covered.
HOURS: To start, about 10 hours per week. It would be helpful if you have a little time each day to take on a few tasks, but we're willing to work with your schedule.
WHERE: Anywhere you are. Most meetings will be via phone or Skype.
